GlowMeter
This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have when using GlowMeter.
Effective date: April 30, 2026
GlowMeter ("GlowMeter," "we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have when using GlowMeter.
When you create an account or sign in, we may collect your name, email address, authentication provider information, and profile image if provided by your sign-in provider.
GlowMeter collects the face photo you capture with the camera or choose from your photo library when you request a skin scan. GlowMeter does not collect Face ID, facial recognition templates, biometric identifiers, or face geometry used to identify you.
Your face photo is used only to provide cosmetic skin wellness insights, including estimated skin age, skin type, visible cosmetic concerns, skincare routine ideas, and progress tracking.
If you complete the skin questionnaire, we may collect information you provide, such as skin feeling, breakout frequency, sensitivity, sun exposure, water intake, sleep, stress level, current products, allergies, and skin goals.
GlowMeter creates cosmetic skin wellness results from your photo and optional skin profile responses, including estimated skin age, skin type, visible cosmetic concerns, skincare routine ideas, product category suggestions, and progress tracking.
If you purchase credits or subscriptions, payments are processed by Apple and/or RevenueCat. We may receive subscription status, product identifiers, purchase dates, expiration dates, and transaction identifiers. We do not receive your full payment card details.
We may collect app usage information, notification preferences, device identifiers needed for app functionality, crash/debug information, and similar technical information.
We use collected information to:
Your face photo stays on your device until you tap Analyze and give explicit consent in the app. To generate your cosmetic skin wellness analysis, GlowMeter temporarily uploads your face photo to GlowMeter's backend storage and sends your face photo and optional skin profile responses to a third-party AI model. The AI model processes the data to return the analysis result. GlowMeter does not use face data for advertising, tracking, biometric identification, analytics, selling data, or training GlowMeter's own AI models.
GlowMeter uses Convex storage/database for backend processing. The resulting analysis reports are stored so you can view your scan history and progress in the app. Temporary face photo storage and deletion timelines are described in Retention and deletion.
GlowMeter does not use face photos or analysis results to train AI models. Face photos are processed by the third-party AI model only to generate the user-requested cosmetic skin wellness analysis after explicit consent.
GlowMeter stores face photos only temporarily for the time required to complete the user-requested AI analysis. In normal operation this lasts only a few minutes. As a maximum safety limit, temporary face photos are automatically deleted no later than 24 hours after upload, even if processing is interrupted.
This short retention window is used only because the app must temporarily pass the image from your device to GlowMeter's backend and the AI model to generate your requested report.
Face photos are not retained for history, analytics, advertising, training, identification, or any purpose unrelated to generating the requested analysis.
GlowMeter retains analysis reports until you delete the report or delete your account. When you delete your account in the app, GlowMeter deletes your account, stored skin analyses, questionnaire responses, and related account data.
Failed analyses and their temporary uploaded images are deleted and the scan credit is refunded.
GlowMeter provides cosmetic skin wellness insights for informational and wellness purposes only. GlowMeter does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. Seek a doctor's or qualified dermatologist's advice in addition to using this app and before making any medical decisions or changing a care plan.
